The main thing is to eat fruits, vegetables, and healthy carbohydrates to reduce the risk of developing hypertension.

Some occurrences of hypertension cannot be avoided and in these cases, the disorder may require the use of medication for the rest of their lives. Prescription medications may reduce the blood pressure to a safer level, but this level can only be maintained with the continuation of the medications. After being diagnosed with hypertension, it is important that the individual is carefully monitored for any changes in blood pressure and regularly makes visits to the doctor. Anything less could be a serious threat to their health. i
